The Community Garden & Pantry.
The Ecosocialist Committee maintains a community garden and pantry outside of the Community Forge in Wilkinsburg.
Every week, we distribute any produce we harvest from the garden to our Wilkinsburg neighbors. And then refill the pantry with canned and dry food, menstrual products, and personal care items. These essentials are available anytime to anyone who needs it. Your contribution helps keep the pantry reliably stocked and ready to serve the community.
Community Breakfasts
Starting this fall, we are partnering with Feed The Hood, a local organization dedicated to ending food insecurity in Pittsburgh. We are hostig free community breakfasts at Community Forge. Your contribution helps cover the costs of everything we need for COVID-safe meal preparation and distribution. This includes meal preparation and distribution, ServSafe-certified chefs, and the use of an industrial kitchen space.
Over the years, our mutual aid work has grown to reach so many of our neighbors, helping alleviate food insecurity and create lasting connections within the community. This Patreon page will keep all of your donations in one place. Therefore making it easier for us to distribute our resources and support food justice throughout Pittsburgh.
